Terms of sale

1. Seller and scope

Tetsuren (tetsuren.com), contact: contact@tetsuren.com. Email: contact@tetsuren.com. These Terms of Sale apply to every order placed on tetsuren.com by a consumer aged 18 or over with a UK delivery address. They work alongside our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.

2. Age restriction

By placing an order you confirm that you are 18 or over. We may ask for proof of age before dispatch and cancel and refund any order where age cannot be confirmed. The carrier checks photo ID on delivery.

3. Lawful use

Our swords are unsharpened and sold as decorative pieces for collection, display, cosplay and historical re-enactment. You are responsible for keeping, transporting and using them in accordance with UK law. Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence.

4. Products

Each product page states the steel, construction, dimensions and fittings. Hand-forged blades are individual: the hamon, grain and finish vary slightly from one piece to the next, and photos are as faithful as possible. All our swords are supplied unsharpened, with a blunt edge, for display.

5. Prices

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT, import duties and delivery to UK addresses. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order.

6. Ordering and payment

Your order is confirmed by email once payment is accepted. Payment is taken securely at checkout; we never see or store your full card details. We may cancel an order in case of an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, a failed age check or an item that is no longer available, with a full refund.

7. Delivery

Orders are delivered within 6–18 working days by a carrier with age verification and signature. Risk passes to you on delivery. See our Shipping Policy.

8. Right to cancel

You may cancel within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013; we extend this to 30 days, except for engraved or custom-made swords. See our Refund Policy.

9. Faulty goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose. Damage caused by misuse (striking objects, bending, lack of oiling) is not a fault.

10. Safety

Even unsharpened, a sword is a heavy steel object with a pointed tip. Keep it out of reach of children, handle it by the tsuka (handle), and oil the blade regularly to prevent rust.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Personal data

Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Disputes

Email contact@tetsuren.com first: we reply within 24 working hours. You may contact Citizens Advice for free guidance and bring proceedings before your local court. These Terms are governed by the law of the part of the UK where you live.
