Blade (刀身): The blade is a masterpiece of engineering, with a refined T10 steel core, renowned for its hardness and resilience. The Damascus steel exterior with Hamon adds not only beauty with its wavy patterns but also strength, as the different layers of welded steel increase the flexibility of the blade.

Guard (Tsuba 鍔): The hand-carved brass guard, enhanced with gilt silver, bears witness to uncompromising craftsmanship. Brass is chosen for its robustness and its resistance to corrosion, while the silver details add an elegant distinction.

Scabbard (Saya 鞘): The solid wood imported from Brazil offers superior density and durability, ensuring optimal protection for the blade. The careful finish of the scabbard underlines the commitment to unrivalled quality.

Handle (Tsuka 柄): The premium lacquered wood ensures a comfortable grip and added longevity. The lacquer not only embellishes the handle but also serves as a protective layer against humidity and wear.

This High-Performance Sword is an exceptional piece, representing the pinnacle of katana craftsmanship. It is intended for those who seek to own a true work of art, worthy of serving as the centrepiece of any collection of traditional Japanese swords.

Buying a sword in the UK

Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.

Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.

Care

Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
Use only on suitable practice targets (rolled tatami mats, bamboo); never strike hard objects.
