Description
The Spectre d'Argent Sword is a modern straight-bladed sword built around a bright titanium-plated edge. At 80 cm overall and only 1.24 kg, it stays lively in the hand while keeping 58 cm of blade length.
The blade is forged in 60Si2Mn spring steel, a silicon-manganese alloy chosen for its ability to flex under impact and return perfectly straight. Its titanium plating adds a hard, corrosion-resistant skin and gives the Spectre its cool silver signature.
The handle is made of G10 composite, a high-pressure fibreglass laminate renowned for its strength, durability and resistance to moisture and wear. Its faceted hexagonal section locks into the palm, while the 7075 aluminium and copper fittings – including a deeply openworked guard – reinforce the structure without adding dead weight.
The sword comes with a Kydex 2.0 scabbard – a robust, precision-moulded sheath designed for secure retention and practical handling, with multiple mounting eyelets for flexible configurations.
Produced as a limited edition of 100 pieces, the Spectre d'Argent Sword pairs the classic resilience of spring steel with a clean, resolutely modern silhouette.
Buying a sword in the UK
Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.
Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.
Care
- Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
- Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
- Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
- Use only on suitable practice targets (rolled tatami mats, bamboo); never strike hard objects.
