This European Espadon greatsword is designed to offer both reach and an imposing presence. At 127 cm long, it is ideally suited to two-handed use and embodies the traditional design of the two-handed swords of the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

Blade: Forged in tough 5160 steel, the 92.5 cm (36.4 in) blade offers exceptional durability and robustness. With its broad 4.6 cm (1.8 in) profile, it combines strength and presence.

Guard: The straight 304 stainless steel guard protects the hand effectively while reinforcing the knightly look of the sword.

Scabbard: Made of wood and fully covered in cowhide leather, it is both practical and elegant, giving optimal protection to the blade when not in use.

Handle: Built in wood and covered in leather, the 23 cm (9 in) handle gives a comfortable grip and the leverage needed for two-handed handling.

Buying a sword in the UK

Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.

Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.

Care

Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
Use only on suitable practice targets (rolled tatami mats, bamboo); never strike hard objects.
