DESCRIPTION
The Shodai Kisetsu Katana is an exquisite anime-inspired replica, designed for collectors and enthusiasts who care about precision and aesthetics. Its deep purple blade, engraved with flowing patterns evoking the seasons, symbolises the passing of time and the calm before the storm, a tribute to the duality of nature and power.
The natural wood saya, enhanced with brass details, brings balance to this brilliant blade, creating a contrast that is both authentic and artistic. The green wrapping of the tsuka offers a superior grip and completes the visual harmony of this unique piece.
Buying a sword in the UK
Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.
Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.
Care
- Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
- Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
- Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
