This katana has a striking design that captivates the eye and celebrates aesthetic refinement.
Blade: Forged in 1060 carbon steel, the 72 cm (28.3 in) blade has a sturdiness and a lustre that immediately catch the eye. Its width of 3.2 cm (1.3 in) and thickness of 0.7 cm (0.3 in) give an imposing profile and a flawless finish.
Tsuba: The guard is sculpted iron, with meticulous attention to detail that reflects the delicacy of traditional patterns. Its intricate, elaborate design is the focal point of the katana and underlines its elegance.
Saya: The lightweight lacquered wood scabbard protects the blade with care and also serves as a canvas for the delicate artwork painted on it, adding a distinctive touch of sophistication.
Tsuka: The handle, covered in synthetic rayskin leather, is designed to give a visual contrast and a refined feel in the hand. The sculpted iron menuki set and the bamboo mekugi are the finishing touches that confirm the commitment to quality and authenticity.
With a total weight of 1.4 kg with the saya and a length of 103 cm (40.6 in), this katana is a fine replica for collectors and lovers of sophisticated design.
Buying a sword in the UK
Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.
Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.
Care
- Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
- Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
- Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
- Use only on suitable practice targets (rolled tatami mats, bamboo); never strike hard objects.

Very good quality, nothing to say. I wasn't lucky enough to avoid paying customs, I had to (30 euros to expect if someone else isn't lucky) Because I read that other people didn't have to pay. I recommend. I will order again after I move house.

The katana is great, the stand too, and the pouch is of great quality. But the customs fees are far too high, a shame, it ends up too expensive.
