This katana is a striking example of Japanese sword-making, combining tradition and modern aesthetics. It is designed to capture the essence of traditional katana while presenting an eye-catching design.
Blade
The 72 cm (28.3 in) blade is shaped from a carbon and iron alloy, promising strength and flexibility. Its width of 3.2 cm (1.3 in) and thickness of 0.7 cm (0.3 in) give it an imposing presence, underlined by an edge refined for precision.
Guard (Tsuba 鍔)
The zinc alloy guard is decorated with an intricate floral motif that contrasts elegantly with the simplicity of the blade. It is also a centrepiece of the katana's design, adding an aesthetic dimension without compromising safety.
Scabbard (Saya 鞘)
The scabbard is a true canvas for Japanese craftsmanship, in lightweight lacquered wood painted with dragon motifs that evoke strength and wisdom. Light and sturdy, it protects the blade well and adds a unique artistic touch.
Handle (Tsuka 柄)
The handle is wrapped in synthetic ray-skin leather, providing a comfortable and secure grip. The zinc alloy menuki set adds fine detail, and the two bamboo mekugi give a reliable and durable structure.
Buying a sword in the UK
Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.
Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.
Care
- Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
- Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
- Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
- Use only on suitable practice targets (rolled tatami mats, bamboo); never strike hard objects.

Very beautiful product, as I expected, thank you very much.

Very good quality, as advertised. The only thing that may be confusing: the katana is not made in Japan.
