This katana is a dazzling example of the swordsmith's art, combining the ancestral tradition of Damascus Hamon with the symbolic majesty of the dragon.
Blade: Forged in Damascus steel with Hamon, the 71 cm (28.0 in) blade shows the swirling patterns characteristic of this historic technique, promising not only visual beauty but also exceptional durability.
Tsuba: The copper guard, finely carved in the shape of a dragon, pays tribute to strength and wisdom, two attributes often associated with this mythical creature in Eastern culture.
Saya: The lacquered wood scabbard is decorated with painted floral motifs that add a touch of natural elegance and visual complexity to the katana.
Tsuka: The handle is covered in genuine white ray skin, giving a distinctive texture and a secure grip, while the copper Menuki reinforce the aesthetic and symbolic coherence of the whole.

Buying a sword in the UK
Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.
Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.
Care
- Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
- Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
- Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
- Use only on suitable practice targets (rolled tatami mats, bamboo); never strike hard objects.
