Buying a sword in the UK
Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.
Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.
Care
- Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
- Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
- Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
- Use only on suitable practice targets (rolled tatami mats, bamboo); never strike hard objects.

Superb katana, I'm delighted with my purchase! The tracking was excellent, no customs fees. Matches the description, quality materials, it's magnificent ❤️ It arrived in packaging well protected against the rain because the delivery driver left it in my garden. Katana Japonais anticipated the packaging well, it was well protected!
Lionel L.
Hello, I'm delighted with this katana: I find it truly magnificent. For the price, I find it exceptional!!! I still had a few doubts before receiving it, but the product is strictly as described. I'm super happy!!! :-D And so I recommend buying via katana-japonais.com. For info: the time between my order and delivery was under 30 days, it goes quickly (ordered on 19 July, delivered on 12 August). I had no customs fees to pay. The c...

A masterpiece in my hands. This katana is more than a weapon, it's a work of art. The captivating blue of the blade, my first name engraved with surgical precision... The work of a true master. Every detail breathes excellence.
Mathéo J.
A katana delivered on time, which matches my expectations perfectly. For 200 euros it's a very good deal.
Anmol S.

Stephane G.
It's my very first katana I'm super satisfied and happy with it Delivery is fairly fast and reliable I recommend it to all katana and Japanese art enthusiasts
Hervé L.
Magnificent katana with its blue blade, served in a beautiful box matched with a very beautiful cover. Surprised by its sharpening, which makes it cut like a razor. Of course for safety it stays locked in its box and I only show it to the initiated. I would certainly recommend another model from the range.
Corinne P.
Very beautiful finish, a quality product. Be careful when you order, delivery times are long
Baptiste C.
Very beautiful katana
Léo P.
The katana is magnificent, a good size, well made, and pleasant both in the hand and to the touch, every little detail on it fully deserves its price, thank you!
Livio V.
Beautiful katana delivered on time. Good quality
Esteban M.
Katana of great quality, I highly recommend, a few details to review but nothing alarming!
Gilles B.
Perfect made-to-measure katana, matches what I expected, thank you to the people who made this katana in keeping with tradition
Léna L.
Nothing to complain about; the katana is absolutely sublime, the work done on the scabbard is absolutely incredible! Not to mention the blade which is also magnificent, in short, the quality is there! No problem with delivery either, although shipping was a bit longer than expected. Really happy with this purchase, I strongly recommend and I will surely place another order one day!
Louis A.
Magnificent katana! I wasn't expecting such good quality at all for its price. Very frankly I'm very satisfied with my purchase on the Katana Japonais site. I recommend this product for quality at a lower price.
Cedrric C.
Great katana, great engraving too The blade is very beautiful
Patrice F.
Superb katana; nice box. no regrets about this purchase. two ordered, very satisfied. Delivery times respected Just watch out for transaction fees depending on your bank and customs taxes. Otherwise nothing to say
Benoît P.
Very beautiful blade!!! Katana of very good quality, responsive customer service, just the delivery time a bit long and customs fees are to be expected via the carrier's website, FedEx in my case. Very happy with my first purchase!!!
Jean-cyprien T.
Very beautiful katana, count on about a month to receive it and there are customs fees. The katana is very beautiful and of very good quality, only downside it's not sharp enough for my taste.
Jean-cyprien T.
I chose a made-to-measure katana, given the length of shipping I had doubts about the reliability of the site but after 1 month and 8 days I finally received this work of art, I'm completely won over, count on thirty or so euros of customs fees. It's not very sharp, that's the only negative point I find, otherwise it's spot on
Secher M.
1st order, very happy, magnificent sword and received well oiled, the details make the whole even more beautiful. I like it a lot! The box is superb too. (Customs tax of about 30€ to expect before entering France)
Nathanael B.
This article is perfect like as expected
Jennyfer D.

Tristan S.

The katana is of very good quality, absolutely magnificent, and very well honed. However the parcel took a while to arrive (about a month and a half). We are very happy with our purchase
Gerard F.
Nice product, nice finish, almost perfect balance.
Alan D.
Honestly the katana is magnificent but given the price, which is officially around 290-300€ if I'm not mistaken, I expected better finishes, especially on the habaki which is really not clean in its finish, which is a real shame. But otherwise the katana is really beautiful ❤️
Franck S.
Long delivery but superb katana for our son's 18th birthday ✨️
Eric B.
Magnificent, nothing to say

Great site, I love the katanas, they are super well made and magnificent, excellent customer service, everything is good, I recommend 100%.
Corentin C.
Magnificent, very good quality Japanese katana. Unfortunately the choice of carrier is poor: tracking and communication with FedEx were difficult, unlike Katana Japonais, who were able to answer all kinds of questions quickly and clearly!!
Noah H.
Very good quality katana, exactly as in the photos.
Awen F.
Very beautiful katana with a well-sharpened and well-oiled blade, perfect, I recommend.
Duboi L.
Magnificent katana, very good quality.
Jeremy D.
Product received in very good condition! Magnificent work!
Barbara P.
Blade as described and beautiful but the scabbard is noticeably of poorer quality.
Kylian F.
I love my katana, it is incredible, thank you so much to the Katana Japonais team for this incredible work.
Santino R.
Magnificent!!! The blade, the details, just a small downside: it takes a long time to arrive.
Marie José T.
Simply perfect and as expected. Thank you.
Pascal B.
I am very satisfied with my purchase, very good quality, but there is still one outstanding question: I am still waiting for a refund for an order placed twice. Could you keep me informed, thank you.
Mathys C.
Very happy, very beautiful katana, it was worth the wait.
Romain B.
Well, I read negative reviews while doing my research. I have to say I am 100% satisfied with this purchase. The katana is superb, arrived a bit late, admittedly, allow three weeks after the order And add a few euros in customs fees But the parcel arrived in perfect condition. The katana is superb, a beautiful cover comes with it. Really happy with the quality, just take into account the shipping time and the customs fees. And one last thing, thank you to the very cour...
