The Kōryūtō 紅龍刀 radiates a blazing majesty. Its blade, hardened and forged repeatedly, combines strength and resilience. The blackened copper tsuba, adorned with a coiled dragon, guards the hand with mythical presence, while the tsuka wrapped in crimson silk and the gilded saya pay tribute to the art of the Japanese swordsmiths of old.

Every curve, colour and engraving tells the story of the eternal spirit of the dragon, a perfect fusion of power and serene beauty. This katana commands respect, standing as both a work of art and an emblem of the samurai spirit.

Buying a sword in the UK

Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.

Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.

Care

Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
Use only on suitable practice targets (rolled tatami mats, bamboo); never strike hard objects.
