Here is the Upgraded Edition of Narsil, the sword of Elendil in The Lord of the Rings — the blade that cut the Ring from Sauron's hand before being reforged as Andúril. Every steel fitting has been reworked in a refined mirror finish: this is what sets this version apart from the standard one. This is a Lord of the Rings-inspired replica.
Blade: 83 cm (32.7 in) of 60Si2CrVA spring steel, narrow at 3.7 cm (1.46 in) wide and mirror-polished, bearing the engraved runes of the original.
Guard: the broad winged 304 stainless steel guard — the most recognisable element of Narsil — receives a full mirror polish.
Scabbard: wooden core wrapped in microfibre leather, with a polished steel mouth piece and chape, matching the upgraded fittings.
Handle: a wrapped 26 cm (10.2 in) grip on a wooden core, topped with a faceted mirror-polished pommel that balances the blade for a two-handed hold.
Dimensions: at 121 cm (47.6 in) long and 2.3 kg (5.1 lb), this is the heaviest Narsil in the range — substantial in the hand and imposing on its stand.

Buying a sword in the UK
Sold only to adults aged 18 and over. Curved swords with a blade of 50 cm or more are hand-forged using traditional methods, as required by the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) Order as amended in 2008.
Carrying a bladed article in a public place without good reason is an offence. Transport your sword wrapped, and only for a legitimate purpose (dojo, re-enactment, collection). Rules may differ in Scotland.
Care
- Wipe the blade after every handling with a soft cloth; never touch it with bare fingers.
- Apply a thin film of oil every few weeks to prevent rust.
- Store it horizontally in its saya, edge up, away from damp.
- Use only on suitable practice targets (rolled tatami mats, bamboo); never strike hard objects.
